America's Model InstitutionThis is a featured page

The first idea I believe could benefit from a closer examination is the idea of Enfield as an institution. Listed below are a few reasons why I believe we should look closer.
1. Schtitt and other faculty at Enfield. "Competitivetennis is largely mental, once you're at a certain plateau of skill and conditioning. Schtitt'd say spiritual instead of mental, but as far as Schacht can see it's the same thing (269).
2. Signs. Specifically FN # 93. WINNERS NEVER HAVE TO QUIT. Much like, PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION TODAY that hung in the Notre Dame locker room for years. (Tennis itself as a fixture of the institution.)
3. Cartridge-viewers FN # 106 and FN #110. Orin says speaking of Enfield and its presence, "They despise tentativity."
4. The electives prorectors teach. Just curious, What would you do? (308)
5. Eschaton
